Scotland's national drink - whisky

There are 120 active malt distilleries in Scotland, each with it's own special collection of amber nectar. Scotch Whisky has survived USA prohibition, wars and revolutions, economic depressions and recessions, to maintain its position today as the premier international spirit of choice, enjoyed in more than 200 countries throughout the world, and generating more than £4 billion in exports each year. Head north and visit one (or more) of our distilleries to see how it's made and maybe even try a little tasting.

Scotland's islands

Scotland has more than 790 islands not all inhabited. Shaped by wind and waves, modified by Vikings, the islands have a wild, weather-beaten, edge-of-the-earth magic all of their own, with whales in their waters, Celtic culture in their heart and beaches that wouldn’t look out of place in the Maldives. Which will you love the most? Why not explore and find out for yourself?
